About Mundelein
Located in Lake County, Illinois, Mundelein is a village of approximately 32,000 residents with a rich history dating back to the 1800s. What started as an agricultural community has grown into a diverse suburb while maintaining its small-town character.
Our downtown area, centered around the Metra station, continues to evolve with new businesses, redevelopment projects, and enhanced public spaces.
